SMC Goes to Portside Art Center: Sound Exploration with Kids!

December 16 2019 SMC members Ada and Elissa went to Portside Art Center in Port Richmond Philly to lead a sound exploration with the kids! Together we discussed sound waves and their shapes and how electricity is added to make sounds louder and weirder! Ada led a jumping speakers activity and after we put a contact mic thru a pedal chain to kids could practice looping and distorting !
